(1) | Rice Production Management Department This college educates students to be local agricultural leaders who are knowledgeable in the techniques of rice cultivation.Rice is the most important agricultural product in Yamagata Prefecture.Students learn how to cultivate at low cost,using analysis of rice growth,method of direct seeding and non-plowing cultivation,in the end producing a high quality rice.Students learn another culture of rice to acquire techniques of biotechnology. |
(2) | Horticulture Management Department (Vegetables,Fruit and Flower) This course educates student to be local agricultural leaders,knowledgeable in new techniques in biotechnology,marketing and so on.Students learn theory and techniques about high quality stable production that matches consumption movement,and market information processing.Students learn new techniques in greenhouse environment control by computer.Students learn the techniques of mass propagation in biotechnology. |
(3) | Livestock Management Department(Dairy and Beef) This course educates students to be leaders who can have a good livestock farm management with new techniques such as embryo transfer.Students learn feeding techniques and silage making techniques by a continuous operation of big machines.Students learn how to breed and raise cattle,and breed and milk a cow.Students practice the techniques of embryo transfer and artificial insemination. |
