1955	This college was established as Yamagata Prefectural Agricultural Research Station Management Teaching Farm.It was built on the old site of Danish Method Teaching Farm at Matumoto, Shinjo-shi.
1961	The name was changed to Yamagata Prefectural Agriculture Management Teaching Farm.
1962	It was moved to the present adress, Tunozawa, Shinjo-shi.
1966	The name was changed to Yamagata Prefectural Agriculture Management Training Institute.
1976	The name was changed to Yamagata Prefectural Agriculture Management College.
1978	The name was changed to Yamagata Prefectural College of Agriculture.
1983	This college was start with a new system.
1985	Personal computer system was installed.Training Division was Formed.
1991	Training center "Ryokufu-Kan" was built.
1992	Sister-college relationship was concluded with Morgan Community College, Colorado state, U.S..
1994	40 years since college was founded.
1995	Machinery training center was built. Agricultural study trip in U.S. started.Agricultural Research and Training Center was established.
1997	Biotechnology training center was built.Solution culture system for vegetable and flower was built.
2000	3 management department started and new curriculum was designed.
2002	Agricultural Infomation Office was formed.
